What we do
Watch and learn about Headway Wearside
The Project - Headway Wearside aims to provide a range of services and activities to support individuals and families to help improve life after brain injury.

This includes promoting and increase social independence, empowerment and social inclusion and in tern reduce isolation and issues in relation to depression, anxiety and reduced confidence.

Work with other Headway Groups and Branches to increase awareness and promote the creation of social networks for the client group


Welcomes individuals, families and carers affected by Brain Injury

Extends Social and Cultural opportunities

Activates Campaigns

Reduces Isolation


Increases confidence of group members

Disseminates information

Educates schools and the Community as to the meaning of Acquired Brain Injury

Cycle Helmet Awareness

Working with schools, the local community and with partners to raise awareness of the importance of wearing cycle helmets.

GP Champion

A positive campaign aimed at supporting GPs to diagnose,refer and mange patients with an Aquired Brain Injury.
